The Collective Soul
The Doula Collective serves Windsor, Essex County, Collingwood, Midland and Simcoe County as labour & birth doulas, postpartum doulas, breastfeeding educators and childbirth educators. We have trained and certified with both CAPPA, ALACE and DONA with the goal of assisting women and their families in having positive childbirth experiences. Childbirth classes are also held in the Midland, Collingwood and Barrie areas of Ontario. Private In home classes can be arranged.
Whether you choose to deliver in hospital or at home, with a midwife or an obstetrician, there is a doula in our practice to meet your needs. We are experienced in home and hospital birth, water birth, VBAC and teen pregnancy, multiples and cesarean birth. Our postpartum doulas assist families through the hectic first weeks after delivery.
Although we are a diverse group of women and mothers, we are linked by our passion to empower and support families through pregnancy and childbirth and to educate those they meet along the way to change outdated attitudes towards women and their rights to birth. Our skills have deepened through education, ongoing training and experiences and have shaped us to become compassionate and understanding, yet open minded as childbirth professionals. We understand the importance of family centered birth and remain empathetic to the wishes of women and their partners while making it a priority to provide evidence based information to empower them in their decision making.
